The Verdon stretches for 175 km between the southern Alps and the mid-section of the Durance in Provence. Several clearly-defined parts of the river and the gorges host water sport activities in summer.
Mostly concentrated between Castellane and Esparron-de-Verdon, white-water activities require specific supervision by qualified guides (e.g. rafting, canyoning and riverboarding).
Other activities in calmer waters can be carried out independently (e.g. pedalos, electric boats, kayaks) and this is the type of unaccompanied expedition on calm water to which Verdon Canoe invites you. Come to the Plage du Galetas and hire a kayak to discover the last two kilometers of the Grand Canyon. This is an unmissable sight of the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region, to be visited and revisited.
During the July / August period, weekends and public holidays, we advise our friendly customers to show up if possible in the morning or in the second half of the afternoon in order to avoid the heavy crowds at midday. Ladies and gentlemen to your paddles and to the pleasure of welcoming you soon in the Verdon.
Yours sportingly, the Management.
